This is a Curriculum for Excellence project from the Technology and English Departments. In 2009 we had our first go at BBC School Report. That year we worked over lunchtimes and pulled the whole thing together by about 2.00 pm. We had uploaded the film to You Tube, but it took too long for the film to appear. This year we have been working during aprt of the S2 Curriculum for Excellence project. We've missed several days because of the snow though, so we are a bit behind. And we are working with Films for Learning Provider to help us get our film up straight away.
We have our own YouTube channel! On this site we have various films created over the last few years, ranging from National Park videos, to Food on Film Festival Films and even one or two simply daft movies.

2009 & 2010
On the 11th of March we intend to publish a BBC school report at 2pm.
It'll go on to filmsforlearning.org and appear as a link on the BBC website. We need to know NOW if you have any interesting stories for around that time that might appeal to us. To the left of this web page is a rough outline of our report stories.
This consists of class 2 SP who will do all the presenting, i.e. standing in the pouring rain, freezing their toes off or sitting in our comfy 'studio' reading the autocue! We have been working on this project for the last 5 weeks, learning how to use the camera and how to direct.

The group will be mentored by two staff members. Above shows a group of pupils doing a 'police story' outside the gates of the school. Maybe they were trying to say the place was a bit like a prison.

Here's the group who are working on the weather report. One of them seems to be getting hit by a thunderstorm.

This group are working on some close up shots. Everybody in the group has had the chance to present, video, write and direct. It was important that we all had a fair chance so that we could discover our hidden talents. Forcing us to take part, made some of us realsie we were able to do things we thought we couldn't.

Here we are pretending to be Chemmy Alcott heading towards the Olympics. We filmed this in our Schools ski store. One of the group is off skiing on the 11th, so we might do that as part of our film.

Here we are raring to go, suspicious!
